just baught some super bright leds

Do yourself a favor and return them. I bought license plate LEDs from superbrightleds.com and I had to keep sending them back because their circuitry is not built to handle the ~14.4v in our cars and keep frying. They tried telling me something must be wrong with my car, but a quick Internet search proved otherwise.

Getting back on topic, IIRC, they are 134s

Much higher quality than others. I use them in the tail lights of my stang.

On a side note, how do I pull the map lights out?

I have a sun roof. Not sure if its different on yours but you hsve to pull the clear ppastic part out. Once you have there are clips on the side the disengage the clear plastic from the harness. Thrn you bend the metal carefully and pull the map light obulb out. Ill put pics up later if needed

here's my contribution to the forum

step 1: pull clear plastic off closest to the front of the car



step 2: once pulled all the way out find 4 clips holding the clear plastic piece in place





step 3: once plastic piece is removed the problem is getting the bulbs out. as you've probably already seen they're a pain to grab. so, what I DID (there could be other ways but i found this easier) was bend the metal surrounding the bulbs in order to reach in and grab them easily with my fingers and pull out.



step 4: replacing the bulbs. it doesn't really matter how you put them back in. i personally put the metal back in its place and then put the bulb in. but whatever works for you is fine.

finally: reverse all the steps to take the map light out and you could get a result like this



I really like how they look. They shine bright enough at night to which it isn't overbearing. I'll be sure to put pictures up of the night time later.

Which LED light is the best for the MAP light? Im looking for that blue light and one that is bright so I can see stuff in my car at night if I need to.
