Fruit Diets.
Has anyone tried a fruit diet? I have been researching about it and it seems easy. Im kind of a picky eater and only like apples, grapes, asian pears(at HEB), and strawberries. Dont really like bananas or the others. So im trying to think of a diet i can try out for a few weeks to see if I can lose some weight. I weighed myself a few weeks ago and im pushing 289 and wanna be thinner then that. I dont really exercise but i do deliver pizza some im constantly walking everyday. Anyone have a good fruit diet plan or a link i can look at that maybe i can try?

2nd that. specially if you are overweight or diabetes runs in your family fruit is healthy but contains loads of sugar that no one pays attention to

the only fruits really worth a damn in modern society are berries. A vast majority of fruits have been engineered to be sugar bombs basically. Fruit wasn't always this sweet. Atkins and Paleoithic diet are really similar. Lift weights and do that and watch fat melt.

I'm of the opinion that any 'diet' you choose will ultimately fail.
You need a lifestyle change. I'm also of the opinion that there's no need to cut out a certain element of your diet short of the BS and processed crap...i.e. don't cut out most the fat, or most the carbs. Your body NEEDS these. Instead, watch how much of each you eat, and make sure what you do eat are GOOD. There is a thing as good carbs and good fat. Your body NEEDS these to function properly. That and just not eating as much...there are people who lost weight eating strictly donuts and ice cream because they limited their intake to 1500 calories per day. That's obviously not healthy but it proves the point...don't eat as much, and eat better foods and the weight will come off. But anyways my main point is to not diet...but change your lifestyle. Because if you diet, the minute you go off the diet the weight WILL come back. I know this, I've done more diets then most, with no results. It's about making permanent changes. |
