Will i throw a CEL code if i take my passanger seat out?
I want to recover the seats so i thought ide start with the passanger seat that way i could still drive it around while i take time to redo it.
How do i bypass all the switches and stuff? or will it be ok just leaving it unhooked? 2 leads from the buckle, a 2 wire and a 3 wire. The 2 wire goes over to the large plug going to the ECU i think. The second set goes into the brown plug which runs into the pressure switch under the cushion. ![]() This is the 2 wires which look like they go into the latch ![]() WHy the other set runs into the latch i dont quite understand. It looks as if its connected to the belt which the latch is strapped to.

Well it threw an airbag light i guess because it wasnt hooked up. Looks like its just an air type of pressure switch or somthing.
I bought a torx set from sears, its a 3 bit set for a 3/8 drive came with 40-45 and 50. ![]() Its good because you can really crank on the ratchet. Some of them are in pretty good and i had to use a 1/2" drive extension. ![]() ![]() Once you bust em loose you can use a flat head to spin em out the rest of the way. You could use a flat head to get em out to if you were good. ![]() While i had em out i tried to clean the carpet good. Its kinda hard to get down inbetween the seats with them in.

ah sorry I didn't see this...... yeah it will just throw an airbag light (at the moment you don't have airbags either..) If you're not putting another seat in there, remove pressure sensor and seat belt sensor from their modules. The little square connectors ARE separable, though it may take some work. and make sure you know which ones they go to.
edit: I looked at your post again to make sure.... yeah no it's going back in. lol. just don't, um get in an accident?

These parts just look like some kind of vacum switch to detect if anyone is in the seat. If i set my wheelchair frame into the passanger seat it turns the airbag off. Or even my tool bag turns it off. Not sure how much weight it needs to turn it on. ![]() You might search the numbers on that module to see if you can find anything.
