Rally Car build
Plain and simple question hoping that nobody goes off topic.
-What types of Rally suspension is there for the 05 focus? -What is considered middle of the road for rally suspension? -What would you run? This is for stage rally and for track rally as well. |

Hotbits, Ohlins, DMS, etc. there are plenty for an 05. however, hotbits are the only for under 2k bucks. ohlins and DMS will cost you more than u can likely sell ur car for. Ksport makes a tarmac rally and gravel spec, but they use a 42 mm piston? don't remember, its small, and would very likely last you more than 3 staged rallies. the hotbits are 50 mm IIRC, i think ohlins are 55 even. but i would stick w hotbits, they are 2 way adjustable, and you can swap out springs for stiffer road rally spring rates! if i were you, i'd go w/ hotbits!

you can get away with the non-adjustable but add the canisters in the front... it will add much needed travel. |

Like the others I also recommend the Hotbits!
Also if you are just getting into stage it is usually much much cheaper to buy a already logbooked car.

So i can get a set of used hot bits for 200 and get them rebuilt. Thinking this might be a good idea, rebuilding might cost up to 500 though. Should I persue?
