Everything went political. They arent allowed to throw things at you any more or do the crazy stuff I heard about.

I went through in 2007. MTIs threw stuff, they just didn't throw it at anybody in particular. MTIs had many different personalities. I was amused by the one that would put System of a Down on, crank it up, then start throwing beds. It was political then, MTIs couldn't hit trainees but they could pretend like they were going to. I imagine it's still the same.

Worst..doing EC Duty (Fire Guard) 5 times a week at midnight til 2 or 2 to 4 then sleep for like 30 minutes then hearing revilie and going to PT with little sleep because my neighbor stayed up to write letters home.
I don't know how I got so lucky? I only did EC in the middle of the night a few times a week, otherwise it was during the day time. Maybe it was because we had a large flight to rotate through (60 or so people). I remember one MTI held a cheeseburger up to the window and said "authorize it." I'm at a loss for why people thought the CATM portion of AF BMT was interesting, we just popped off a few rounds out of the M16. Since then I've fired M-4, M203, M9, M240B, M249, and the MK19 and the only one I thought was any fun to fire was the MK19 (but it's a complete bitch to clean).

Most people I've talked to enjoyed going to religious services the most in AF BMT. I've been told the services for Wicca are pretty laid back, good place to just chill for a few hours; I mostly just stayed in the dorm and polished my boots/low quarters while almost everybody else was at church.

I think he's talking about any branch. I loved the weapons training and hated the 20km ruck march.
