Best Tire Size For Auto-X

Which would be the preferred size?

215/40, 215/45, or 225/45?

17's ?? 215-40-17 works pretty well
225-45-17 will probably rub most likely
i prefer a 215-45-16 , 205-50-15, and i would't mind trying a 225-45-15

I've run 225/45/17 in a V710 last year without any trouble.

would a 1.5'' drop have any problems running that same 225/45/17 tire?
