The rebuild thread after deer hunting on the highway

Since I couldn't edit the title on my other thread since it was sent to the archives I figured I would start a new thread on the rebuild then. I was coming home from a friend's house about 2:30AM on a Sunday in November when I found one of mother nature's many natural speed bumps out in the road. I really didn't see the deer until I came up over top of a small hump in the road and the following carnage had ensued. Damage total was never figured up since I had just dropped down to liability coverage on the car the month previous. So all of my rebuild costs has come directly out of my pocket. Here are some pictures of the damage and how the car looks about a couple of weeks ago.

And a few pics of the damage thus far. Notice the huge crack and bend in the reinforcement bar which was a pain in the ass to remove but finally got the damn thing off after drilling out the welds for it.

I love deer. I try to help out the cause though. I limit out with my mathews monster compound bow every year... mmm tasty

Staying along the same lines but doing a few things differently Caleb. I am sure you will see it soon enough next time I am in Louisville or if you come up to SIF 10.

I plan on keeping the updates coming as I go along. Some of my parts arrived today and it's definately making the getting it all together a lot easier. Nah, I don't hate deer. They are vital to the environment like we are. Something has to die in order for us to eat. Even if you are a vegetarian you are still killing plants when you eat them.
