Massive "Unbreakable Mount" not so Unbreakable....

Have had Massive Unbreakable Mount installed only 10,000 miles, 2 Drag races, 1 Autocross Race only running 225WHP on all races and this:




So is there a warranty on these Massive?

I've seen the bushings split on two different VF mounts and one CFM mount, too. This happens after you get oil all over it. Most motor mount manufacturers sell individual bushings for about $10-15. I recommend calling Karl and asking if he'll warranty it by sending one out for free.

How would oil film affect it?

Well the bushing isn't designed to be lubricated like that, so it slips around and has a much better chance of getting sliced when hit with a strong torque spike. I'm pretty sure motor oil can chemically damage polyurethane, too.

FWIW when my CFM bushing did this, I was honest and told them that I suspected an oil leak caused it. They agreed with me, and still sent me a new bushing for free. They even gave me the option to change to their stiffer bushing. This was a pleasant surprise! I was expecting to pay for a new bushing.

While the housing itself has proven to be "unbreakable", if the polyurethane bushings are exposed to any form of petroleum, they become brittle and can fail. We would be happy to send a replacement however, please email me your shipping address and we will get one out right away. :)
