Lighted Ignition Ring?

Is there anyway to get a lighted ignition ring in a Focus? I have an '07 and would like to do this....is it simple to do, or does it involve replacing the whole ignition switch or something like that?

If you DO mean the above, there are kits out there, called "Ignition Light Ring" that you can wire up. I'm guessing you could buy them HERE

Just curious. Can you see the ignition light from the drivers seat? Looks like a good idea but it might be hidden by the steering column. I always have to reach around and key on. A green light to match the interior lighting would be cool though.

Hey MACDIESEL: "The bezel is totally hidden from the driver's view by the steering wheel. Plus the dome light is often completely off by the time I put the key in.

It might bother the passenger at night....but I doubt it. It's not going to be very bright with a single LED.....I'll find out tonight. I wired it into the dash lights."
