A/F Gauge - Where to tap?

I want to install an air/fuel meter but what wire do i tap into? I know it's the 1st o2 sensor, but it has like 4 wires.

Any help is much appreciated.

uhh you are talking about tapping into the stock o2 sensors for a narrowband A/F ratio gauge. this is a total waste of time and money. narrowband gauges are worthless. they are just a light show

I would not recommend tapping into the stock o2 sensor harness. Narrowbands are not useful at all, but IF you are going to do it I would get a separate sensor and wiring harness for it.

Either way, not worth it IMO.

k well just to kinda help him out anyway even though its kinda unanimous that the wideband is a better investment...

how many wires go into the o2 sensor?...usually thats a hint into figuring out which wire to tap into

right it should, but some other vehicles have 5 wire, i wasnt sure what the focus had, but if its 4 wire there are 2 heater wires 1 ground and 1 sensor output...so what colors are we working with on your o2? or the op? or whoever is asking the question lol

Yeah, decided to get a wideband instead. I had an old a/f gauge sitting in my closet. Decided to give it a try. But, not anymore.
What do you guys think of Autometer?

good stuff but you can probably find a AEM wideband setup for cheaper

edit: remember that you have to have a wideband o2 sensor with a wideband gauge. you cant use a wideband gauge with narrowband sensor or visa versa.
