SVT to HS?

Some time back, there was a thread with info about the SVTF going to HS. Has there been anymore info about this? Just trying to get a game plan going for next year.

LOL. it's about that age now. Sometimes I wish I was back there. Things were so much easier.

Actually the question was referring to H Stock. ( auto-x class )

I would like to see where you saw this. I doubt that would happen. Usually cars get relegated up a class not down. Unfortunately not every car can be a competitive autocross car. The SVTF isn't even considered a competitive car in G-Stock, why would they move it to H-Stock? DSP is a play ground for E30 and E36 BMW's, rear wheel drive is just a better racing platform. The only place these cars would come close, IMO, would be in like EP. But you are fighting against mid-80s Honda civics which probably weight almost 500 lbs less once you gut the car completely.

they should do it.
if you can run a focus ST in HS, why is the SVT still in G.

and the discrpeancy gets worse in street prepared. an ST in SP is on par with a SVT in SP speed wise, but the ST get to play in FSP, while the SVT get screwed in DSP (do you know the competition in DSP ?!?, not fun)

Everything I am hearing is a go for HS for the SVTF, but it is all word of mouth. Before I start buying parts for my car, I want to find out for sure.

And will this move continue to Club Racing Improved Touring? Right now the SVTf is slated for ITS. And those guys are FAST in the 2nd gen RX7s & 944s!! The logical move, if it follows Solo, it to move the SVTf to ITA. And my ITA Escort GT does NOT need another 'fast' car in the class, unless they plan on moving it also.

But I race for the fun of it.

I keep hearing the MINI S is going to D-stock. That would help the SVTF some if it stays in G.
