Wanting to try auto cross, but where?

i live in Seattle Wa, and i am wanting to try out autocross, however i cant find any frequent or nearby events( within an hour drive, every few weekends)

or are autocross events usually spaced out every other month?

I would start by looking here - http://www.nwr-scca.org/

Usually they do space them out a month in between events, but if you can find a few different clubs that run on weekends you could possibly run every weekend.

For instance there are 3 groups that run down here (SCCA, PCA, and another forum), if I get lucky I can run 3 out of 4 weekends in a month.

www.scca.com - is the biggest autocross organization you will come across

Western Washintgton Sports Car Council http://www.wwscc.org is kind of the clearing house for all Seattle-area autocross events.

There is an SCCA event Sunday, July 5th at Bremerton Motorsports Park.

Membership is required for all events, but weekend memberships are available. Declutter your car, pump the tires up to 40PSI to prevent trashing the sidewalls and be there by 7:30AM for morning runs or 11:30AM for afternoon, depending on your class.

Between March and the end of October you will be hard pressed not to find an autocross going on somewhere in the area every weekend.
