Spy Shots....Cadillacs New Wagon!!!

Cadillac has been releasing some outstanding cars lately. Their quality has gone up and their designs are strikenly beautiful. Cadillacs new cars have been real hits. The new CTS is beautiful inside and out and the new direct injection 3.6L V6 is a great powerful engine. They are redesigning the XLR for 2009 and soon will be coming out with a CTS coupe. The upcoming CTS-V is cadillacs most powerful production car to date, and also the fastest. With a detuned engine outta the upcoming Corvette ZR-1 it set a record lap time at the Ring. Certianly not your grandfathers cadillac anymore.

The car captured by our spys is unmistakenly Caddy. The first indication is its large Cadillac emblem on the rear tailgate. The rear is straight forward with a large liftgate, which should offer easy access to what appears to be a substantial cargo area. The lights are straight forward and easy to see and theres even a rear window wiper present. Cadillac must of included the large rear emblem so that people who are blown by this high performance wagon will know that they were overtaken by a Caddy. A single chrome tip exhuast is present on the car, but we think Cadillac just put that there to fool others from figuring out whats under the hood. Yes, we said tailgate, but this isnt some high performance Escalade or some other new SUV. Cadillac is definitly designing this wagon to be a luxerious family hauler, without the gas guzzling tax. SUV sales are slow and gas prices are high, so cadillac knows that like many other companys, wagons make very good people haulers cause they offer the stability of a car with the cargo capacity of a SUV or truck. We have a good idea of what itll be though. Cadillac can't fool us with thier chrome tip single exhaust. Most likely it will be caddys 3.6L V6 out of the CTS, and we might even see a V series. A rwd V series wagon definitly sounds good to us. The sporty look of the wagon is further shown by it's shiny multi-spoke wheels. To increase this sporty/race style of the car it seems cadillac has taken a step further and included wheels without center caps, obviously to offer easy access to the lugs for quick pit stop easy wheel and tire changes. It is apperant that cadillac wants this car to be driven more then just on the street. Don't be surprised if you see these cars at you local track shortly after they come out. We could not grab any pictures of the interior but we are sure it will look just as good as the CTS. Cadillac has not released any information on an upcoming wagon and has denied all information on the existance of this car. Expect to see this super wagon to come out shortly after the Cadillac CTS Coupe.

Our photographer tried to get more information on the car as the windows of the caddy have been rolled down. He proceded by screaming NICE CADDY at the driver, but was only returned with a grimace and the driver rolling up the windows. We drove off laughing at Only the funny face that the driver made.

Ahhh. I didn't look that closely before. Did Ford and Cadillac do a merger that we weren't aware of? j/k. I can't believe he/she is trying to make a Focus wagon look like a Caddy. Why not just put an SVT badge on there, as well.

Actually, Cadillac IS coming out with a CTS wagon, but I don't think that one's it. LOL
