Simply put who's bar is best? Steeda is looks nice. I like the Focussport bars. What is on your ride and why do you like it best. I will make this mod soon. I need some help making my decision.

I got a Focus Sport front strut bar through CFM. It does not fit correctly. I also wasn't very impressed with the powdercoating on the bar. The bar has small scratches all over like it was scuffed with steel wool or something. I have left CFM a message, and am waiting on a respose. I am sure that I will not get one until Monday. No matter how you turn the bar one bolt hole will not line up. Maybe they will give me a discount or something. After being so excited about putting this on , I am deeply dissappointed. This is supposed to be a simple mod. Just crap. Let me know if you have any expierence dealing with CFM and how they are.

I think you have to move one of the things to get it to fit. I had the Ford Racing front strut bar and it didnt fit because there is a thing on the way, so Mike (b16sir1991) move one of the things and it fits like champ.

Or you may have gotten the wrong strut bar.

Focus Sport Strut Bar

I got my front strut bar from CFM,and it will not fit correctly. One bolt hole will not line up at all. I am not going to drill it out to make it fit. I left a message with CFM . Maybe they'll get me fixed up with a new bar. I can't say that I was overly impressed with the powdercoating. It had runs, bubbles, and was thin. I hope that this doesn't turn into a hassle. It is supposed to be an easy mod. Is CFM easy to deal with? Someone let me know. Laters

DO NOT DRILL A HOLE!!!!!

i have a focus sport upper front stress bar and it definatly is a tight fit!

i had to work with it and use a rubber mallet to get it on but it is ment to be a tight fit or it would be less usefull than it currently is...(sorry, but i have both front and rear stress bars and it makes absolutly no cornering differences imo)

get a *strong* <important> friend to help you out...work with it for a while i think you have to pry hard enough to slightly flex the bar but im not sure if thats what happened or i just got lucky...but i promise youll be pissed if you drill...i know its tight but bare with it...you can do it...

it looks good with it on....check it out!

i just got mine for my duratec last week. haven't put it on yet, but popped the hood and sat it in there to see how it'll look, and it definately looks like it'll be tight. my first thought also was "there's no way that hole is going to line up" but i think its just going to take a little patience and some pressure.

it will!

the reason it doesnt fit 100% over the strut bolts is because if you look the part where the strut bolts come through the car is slightly slanted on each side...

so if you put one side on and bolt it down, and then try to push the other side on it wont match up because it is a little bit to far to the left or right, depending on what side you try first...it just takes some time to play with it...

dont lose hope guys...

The rear bar makes a difference... tightens it up a lot, but I've read the front bar donesn't do much for you. The front strut towers are very close to the firewall, which gives enough bracing without the bar.
