Good Good Good, Good Vibrations!!! I have the answer!

This is going to sound rediculous, but it was driving me nuts, and I discovered the answer, and have to share!!!

The other day, I was driving, and once I hit about 50-60mph or 80km's an hour, my car shook from vibrations!!!!
What the hell I thought!
My car runs like new, and I didnt hit anything, and am generally a careful driver.

I read a few posts on here which suggested it might be a damaged rim, or a knocked off weight (which could have been possible due to this rediculous weather). Everything seemed normal... rims and tires passed my visual inspection... just some normal snow sticking due to the weather.

...TODAY>>>> I was driving my car at highway speeds again, and back to being smooth as a baby's bottom.

then it hit me

The snow stuck to the rim was only on one side... and now it is gone!

I never before would have imagined that snow could so easily and dramatically offset the balance of the wheels.... BUT IT DOES!

so if this ever happens to you... dont freak out!

Just wipe the sticky snow off your rim!
(unless of course it is summer, then make a post on FF, and someone will help you diagnose it!)

And I have flash backs to the movie My Cousin Vinnie. "Mud in your tires." Back in my pick up truck driving, camping a lot days, I used to have this problem all the time when I would be driving up camp trail roads in wetter weather.

Happens to plow truck drivers all the time. It usually flings off at 50 MPH or so. It feels like the truck is gonna shake apart. Good find.

i dont know if its rep worthy but it certainly made me laugh lol, i'd plowed through lots of snow but have yet to have that problem, and im in toronto as well. the snow we're getting is nuts lol. good find
