Hi! My engine management light become on tonight. when I plugged the predator, the follow DTC codes appeard:

"P1000 OBD Systems readiness test not complete"
"P1246 Alternator Loud input. See P0622"
"P0622 Generator Field "F" Control Circuit Malfunction "

P1000 just means it hasn't learned yet. Give it some time.

The others seem like something is wrong with your charging system- maybe an alternator. Have you had to jump your car recently? If your batt gets really low the ECU might have lost it's maps and that is why it is throwing the P1000 code...

P1451 is a fault in the solenoid circuit for the evaporator canister vent. It's probably stuck open. I'm afraid I've never replaced one before, so I don't know what it entails. Hopefully others can fill you in.

I would just clear the other codes and run the car for another few hundred miles and see if any reappear. If the alternator code re-appears, you may have a faulty wiring harness connecting to the alternator, or the alternator itself needs to be tested.

P1000 : Do you have a tune or MIL Eliminator installed on your vehicle ? I got the same code on my ZETEC ford (MIL El. there) and SVT (tune).... this code alone won't turn on engine light....
U can have it if your car is stock and you recently unplugged battery...

Ok...where´s the evaporator canister vent?

Hi! From a series of DTC´s I passed to only one.

P1451
a user in technical chat has answered me :

"P1451 is a fault in the solenoid circuit for the evaporator canister vent. It's probably stuck open. I'm afraid I've never replaced one before, so I don't know what it entails. Hopefully others can fill you in."

where´s the evaporator canister vent, and how can I test it?
Many thanks!
