APOETSLYRIC82 ripped me off

I purchased a set of 16' Focus wheels represented as "20,000 miles so basically new". The pictures showed four wheels that were covered with dirt that "was from being stored". The wheels I got were absolutley covered in grime - had to be high mileage. After an afternoons work I uncovered wheels that were badly chipped scratched and one had a dent on the rim. The seller won't return my call and he took three weeks to ship them so I am over the time limit to dispute the charge with Paypal. BEWARE this guy is running a scam.

The Paypal loophole

paypal gives you 3e0 days to escalate a dispute to a claim. It took three weeks for the wheels to get here and then it was a while before I had a chance to open them and clean them up (100k miles of grime). By then it was too late and Paypal won't let you reopen a claim or file a new one. (Called them - no luck). I guess I will have to pay to have them powdercoated.

man that sucks. I bought everything under my hood off the forum I try to befriend them before I let them know i'm interested in buying whatever. You get a better deal most of the time, and you get trust and honesty. However I guess every once in a while, especially on a board with 3 million members someone's gotta be a fake

Sorry to hear that bro. Look at the bright side, powdercoating kicks ass

Haha....yeah, they had quite a bit of brake dust on them when I got them, but they cleaned up nicely. I had no complaints. They look sweet on my car, and make some great winter rims.
