4/1 summit rain dance
survived "slippery point" aka summit point yesterday. monsoon conditions all day, had a ball. didnt miss one posssible lap, no spins, about 300 near spins. was taught a great rain line through turn 10 which will come in useful at the next wet race. in car vids show just a watery haze as i came up on cars. how many in there? couldnt tell until you were on top of them if it was one or three. lots of passing of big high horsepower rwd cars. poor guy in an m5 had a bad bad day trying to keep it straight. all in all, no damage, no spins and left before it started to SNOW. they had 7 inches last night just in time for scca nationals this weekend. oh yes, there are some shots over on mff and fj. on fj they are under hardcore in the race forum.

Snow...ugggghhh!. They are calling for flurries here tonight. Any time it snows after April 1 it costs us thousands in business, and we have had a tough winter!!, glad you had fun, I actually used to enjoy riding ( racing) the bike in the rain..The only Sound of Singles race I ever won was in the rain!

rain
its great as an equalizer. nothing like catching several m3s and one m5 and spec miatas even. fwd likes rain. rwd doesnt. the poor guy in the m5 teetered on the brink of disaster in every corner. finalluy got bit in the ass in the carousal between 6 and 7. i was just ahead of him luckily. the few times i came into 5 behind him i gave him a wide berth, knowing it was not if he would spin, but when. also an ego boost to be on his tail enough to get waved by a few times.
