So I have a long tube header and no cat. I'm kinda getting tired of the drone on the freeway from my exhaust. I'm wondering if adding a resonator within the exhaust if it will quiet it down some. It's not too crazy loud but if I could just quiet it down a bit I would be happy. Also, where is the best spot in the exhaust to place the res? Thanks
Yep, depending on which long tube header you have will depend on the size of resonator you get. If you have one that looks like the FSWerks race header then you are going to need something that is about 18-21 inches long and a 4-6" diameter round to go in the exhaust tunnel. I had the FSWerks race header on my car awhile back and added a 4x20 Borla resonator and it toned it down quite a bit.
So I'm thinkin about goin with the 14" resonator like the one on the first link of Terry's post. Think that should bolt up right? Also if the flex is 2.5" I would also get the 2.5" res or 2.25"?
