Looked for a "how-to" and could not find one. I want to remove the skirts to repair the "road rash" and paint them. Any suggestions before I just start to disassemble the car.
Dan
it is easy all you need is a T30. remove all the screws along the bottom and the 2 on the sides and it should just pop off.. wiggle it a little to get it lose...
I do know that you have to remove the cover by the front wheel well first. The like previously mentioned, remove the screws on the bottom. Then the whole rest of the sideskirt slides out. I can't remember if you have to push it towards the back or towards the front to remove it so try both ways. Try not to break the clips that hold it on.
There was no double-sided tape holding it on(well mine at least).
The front cap slides forward for removal. The rest of the side skirt is held on with 8 clips. It will not slide off because the front 4 are in the opposite direction from the back 4. Just grab the bottom of the skirt and give a tug and the clips will pop out.
Does the wheel need to be removed to get the cap to slide off.
