This weekend me, 1turbofocus, 1turbofocusjr, and finalley and a couple other guys we met there we representing the Focus community at Virginia International Raceway (VIR).
Its a 3.27 mile long road course and an absolute blast to drive, and there were a bunch of different cars there... Ferrari, Porsche, Noble, Corvette, BMW, and the list just goes on and on... there was even a Daytona prototype there and a NASCAR there Saturday.... the driver wouldn't take his helmet off until he was inside so no one would know who he was.... but he tore the track up!!!!
There were a couple Vette's, a BMW M3, a few RX-8's, a Pontiac GTO 6.0, and numerous other cars in our class. When we first showed up most drivers sorta snickered at us since we were driving Foci......
When we got onto the track the snickering stopped and the jaws dropped. Little did they now all 3 SVT's were over 300whp EACH

Tom tore several of them new asses, even in the curves. I loved the looks I was getting when these race-prepped cars were catching me on the curve but couldn't pass me on the straights..... and with a Focus none the less.
Tom (1turbofocus) can and will back this story up for the unbelievers.. The guy with the GTO came with us to the track and he wanted to be behind me when we started so he could see how supposedly fast my car was. Well we took it easy on the first lap to get a feel for the track, on the second lap we were feeling froggy. We hit the back straight away and I stomp it and so does he, oddly enough he doesn't gain on me and I actually pull away from him.
After the heat we get back to the pits and Kenny (GTO boy) comes up and says how impressed he was with the way it ran, he tells me he was running 138mph on the back straight and I was pulling away from him and he could not keep up......
There were several cars that could catch any of the SVT's on the straights that day.....
Serves them right for making fun of us
