Ok so then in this instance my COP setup fires 2 coils at one instance. However, it still requires less amperage to fire them both than it does to fire the stock single coil. I still don't see how the drivers are going to burn up with my setup? From computer to spark pug tip it has less resistance than the stock setup did.

I have two spare PCM's here that I bought for under $100 at the local scrap yard... not sure where you are getting your prices, unless you are a tech @ a dealership replacing them with brand new units?

Why don't I like wasted spark,
I don't see the need to waste spark on the exhaust stroke. I would rather fire my coils once per 720 of engine rotation then twice. Seems like it would be much easier on the system to have them only fire once. Then all these worries about overheating or burning drivers and other system components would be cut in half.
