FYI, drilling the hub area - no good...plus, youd then have to worry about our large center bore. I bought hub rings and they were thin thin thin..not like the 1/4/1/2" thick hub rings I was used to.

If you want a nice light wheel...Rota has em. I just got a set of 16" Grids in Bronze (look like TE37) and they are maybe 11-13lbs each. You can get subzeros, attack, SDR, etc. All Rotas are lite and they dont cost that much....

Beleive me, a set of Rotas is the way to go. Like you said, you dont want to drill perfectly good wheels.
