6 seconds to 60 for a FWD street car is a pretty lofty goal. The new ST is tested at 5.9 seconds and has waaaaaaay more power than a Duratec will ever have without forced induction.
You would need serious weigh reduction in the rear and some ultra sticky tires up front.
An upgraded clutch/flywheel couldn't hurt and would probably be necessary after a few launches on the stock hardware anyway.

(A new V6 Mustang will hit 60 just over 5 seconds & A good driver will hit low 4s in the new GT)
