What problems might it cause? As long as the wing nut or whatever is tight (with aid from the washers as a backer), all 'should' be good, right? If not, we're in a lose-lose situation until Ford actually FIXES the tail lights...
I had one replaced by the dealer, got it back with the same issue... frustrating.
I am not saying we should do nothing, but earlier in this thread (I am not searching through 22 pages to find it) there were a few actual automotive engineers warning us not to mess with the posts as they were not meant to be adjustable.
I used the neoprene washers myself.
