^ what he said. Even down here in Detroit I use snow tires. We havent seen a lot of snow the last 2 years, but it gives me piece of mind knowing that if it did snow a lot, I am prepared.
I have used Cooper winter tires and Hankook I-pike's (same tread design as the General's) they are awesome. I cant afford the high dollar Michellin's and such, but these have made a world of difference for me.
If you can afford it - make it easy on yourself and get a second set of wheels for the snow tires.... you wont regret it!
