Have you ever heard of the brit show, Top Gear?
Try owning a luxury sports car first. 99% Of those owners don't mod sh! T because it devalues the car drastically. If you'd modify a Ferrari, you don't understand true pride of ownership. You know, real people buy cars and only maintain/wash them because they appreciate it for what it is: art on wheels.
End of rant
While I understand what you are saying and Agree that you dont have to mod to be an enthusiast but.... I do not care what I own I make it my own.
Spent 70,000 on a Audi Q7 and the next week spent 5,000 on Rims, Tuning, and a Lower lip kit and Rear Spoiler. There are Enthusiast and then there are the ones that just want to make the car an extension of their personality.
No car I have ever owned has stayed Stock for more then a week.
