StockTalon, you need to research the history of hot rods. Since you like STOCK cars like your screen name says then stay out of this thread. GREAT, you spent greater than $25K on a car that has all the bells and whistles and you could have got another car for the same price with more options (Hyundai). This is a FOCUS oriented thread about TUNING. If it is not an interest of yours then simply don't open the thread. To most of us on this ENTIRE forum our cars are not built for the drag strip and 500+ HP is not needed or wanted. The Ford global C1 platform has proven itself around the world for being a great car for daily driving, carving canyons, fuel economy, ect... If you want to research this just type in Ford Focus on youtube. If you really want to read or post about high horsepower cars then check out other forums about 1007hp NA Corvettes. Research CharlieC5 on youtube. Like you most of us have FRIENDS with high horsepower cars but we are NOT riding in their shadows. We are carving our own path and WILL be followed by MANY others now and in the future. The way I see it is that I love my car and the friends that I have met through this forum that share the same interest. To your comment on stickers and cheap wheels, I do not have one sticker on my car or cheap wheels. What I have done for this car is be an innovator of the systems on the car that I know (First 2012 Focus in the US to have coilovers), what is needed and how to swap the rear drums to discs. I also have a header on the car with full custom exhaust from engine back. I'm not the first on this but got a lot of help from 2 other guys on this forum. FocusFest is coming up and I look forward to seeing you there so you can see the love we have for our car.
It is what it is in life... Just have fun with it!
