Thats what I always thought too. Seeing most of the pix w/ the spring pocket jacked up, for the shorter, lowering springs.

you can kind-of see them in ^ this pic on my car....they are totally straight and have a cup in them to mount the swaybar endlinks, mine however are upside-down from the last time I had it aligned they re-connected them upside-down and I didn't notice/look until MONTHS later, going to need a re-alignment this summer anyways so I'll flip them back correct when that gets done

It also helps that the old Focuscentral arms mounted their coilovers in to the top shock mount which is great. I supose all the other manufactors(coilover) think the top shock mount won't take the load.
