I was looking at ITRs in 2000 when I found out (happily) that my wife was pregnant. We figured the ZX3 was still a lot of fun and a more sensible choice. What is frustrating me is that I can feel that 2012 has the much of the same potential (albeit in a much more comfortable package) yet every time I try to access it, the nannies slap me on the wrist.

Yup. SCT is a business. If they thought a 2012 Focus tune would make them money, we'd have one.
