Assuming you are basing this on most dumb mustang owners? Heavier car with 2 wheels pushing it, vs a Focus with 1 wheel pulling it?

I have also seen dumb 4WD owners on the side of the road in snow storms.;-)
But I agree that it does come down to the right tires, and proper driving for the conditions.
It also depends upon the car. My 84 Escort I once owned was a tank in the snow with all season Michelins.
Whereas, my Focus is a nightmare without snows all the way around.
The high performance RWD cars of today are not practical or sensible means of transportation when the weather turns bad, they are toys.
