Agreed - it's a vastly underrated drivetrain, but there's enough in the perf. package I'd still go with it. Other than the typical tune, intake/exhaust and some susp. tweaks, I'd most likely leave it alone modification wise.
I honestly really like the current bodystyle and it doesn't bother me that a new/improved Mustang is around the corner - same situation with the WRX. I'll keep whatever I get 3 years probably and then move on to something else.
