Lots of bad roads around where I live, and the ST seems to handle them well. Tracks straight despite bumps and doesn't get bounced around. As has been said, it's a taut suspension, so you can feel the road, but it does handle potholes fairly well. (Thank God that one was one a test drive and not my car... *cough*)

It does seem quiet to me when cruising as well. Mostly tire noise, no wind noise, and the engine is very quiet when the Sound Symposer (TM) isn't open (3000+ RPM). The ST is quite well mannered when you're not throwing it around, which is one of the things I like about it. (Others that want a more raw car-handling experience occasionally dislike it, in fact.)
