I would just drive it then.
I had a 95 Mystique with a Zetec and 5-spd that I got in 2000 with 86k miles on it. I sold it in 2012 with 228k.
I left the engine completely stock, but I drove it. Timing belt was done at 104k and then when the tensioner pulley split into 3 peices at 222k.
I repalced the struts at 130k, should have also done the mounts. The original alternator finally went around 220k and I had to have the flex pipe section of the exhaust replaced and then the resonator cut out at about the same time. Everything else was orginal still.
Other then that I just drive the car. I know there was something else going on because of I got on it to much before the engine fully warmed up it would stall out and not start back up right away.
Either way the car got driven to Florida and back and should have over 250k on it now.
