got the motor and trans seperated over the weekend aswell (no pics tho) and upon closer inspection we found the source to the majority of my oil leaking problems was a faulty catch can. turns out the tube that tells you the level of oil in the can wasnt connected properly at the bottom resulting in oil just running out of the motor all over the motor. in turn the oil has started to deteriate some of the rubber coolant lines, kinda turned them into a really mushy sticky rubber so ill have to replace some coolant hoses. noticed a few gaskets that will need replasing like the valve cover gasket and maybe a couple others but no where near as bad as what i had thought.
flywheel and pressure plate need to be resurfaced as well and might just get a new clutch altogther not sure yet
next week duties is to rip the rest of the front end out (sway bars, steering rack, control arms, k member) and replace with all new stuff (poly bushings) and clean up the engine bay and degrease it all
