Yep, dropped a Carter FDM into the 2000 Foci this morning and runs like a champ now. It was a bit of a bear getting the old retainer ring out but easy to cut the 4 clips afterwards with a box cutter. On a side note, I don't own a dremel but do own a RotoZip which is basically a dremel on steriods. The RotoZip cut the door like going through butter (no pressure and extra careful so it wouldn't drop and cause other damage). Didn't even put any wear on the existing metal cutoff blade.
I did recover 4 cigarette lighters, 1 pair of fingernail clippers and about $4 in change!
We've owned the car for 7 years and I've replaced the faulty: actuators (one original left), thermo housing, cylinder lock and now the fuel pump. Excluding the one original actuator I believe I've replaced all the faulty design parts but it's possible I've overlooked one.
