That way if the dealer is blowing you off you can have it analyzed and they will tell you what the material is in there and you can figure out what's toast and maybe have more push on the dealer or Ford customer service.
Another thought is to change the oil yourself. Document it with pictures or video. You would want to let the oil stand in the drain pan for awhile, to let any suspended particulate to settle to the bottom. Photograph and save the stuff in the bottom of the pan, and like the previous poster suggested, send off a sample to Blackstone Labs for analysis.
