Here is what I did:
You can get those perches on ebay for under $25 for a pair. I used a 6" x 2.5 x 400 lb rear spring with a Hypercoil Tender spring to keep the spring from falling out. Its
slightly lower than the stock SVT springs. I wish it were a tad lower. No rattles and feels good on the street.
