I've always just painted with regular automotive duplicolor, as long as you don't sand/scuff down to bare aluminum any paint should hold up. Even if you do get to bare metal, you just have to scuff and clean with an alcohol/water solution within a few minutes of your first coat of primer.
I prefer to do the regular paint over dip or wheel paint because there are more options, and glossy colors look better (imo) on wheels.
