heres a tip from someone whos wrapped many motorcycle exhausts,

You wont have to worry about rust the only time you need to worry about wrap is on "Titanium exhausts", more common on bikes over time the wrap will soak in moisture and can crack the Titanium.

Ive always used DEI brand wrap + spray

grind off the heat shield nubs, get a bucket and get the wrap wet, put the wrap on wet overlapping 1 inch of the 2in and pull it "TIGHT" as your wrapping to make it nice, I find the 1 inch alot easier to work with and looks nicer when done, but 2 inch may be the way to go on the SVT header since its bigger , also get the header wrap spray allow wrap to dry for 24hrs before you spray it on then allow another 24 hours for the spray to dry before you put it on the car.

I like black personally, if done this way it should last around 2-3 years.
