As far as Warranty worries, it's just like "proving" the oil was changed.

Just keep records & receipts for proof if it's ever needed...

As to drain plugs, the "official kit" sounds good, in the past I just used whatever bolt & sealing washer was handy, tack welding a nut on the inside of the pan like a factory does for steel oil pans....
