Technically they don't call them chrome headlamp housings but aluminum, but idk if they were actually made from the metal, or just there way of saying silver.

If its actually aluminum it might explain why they cost more than the black ones, but idk. The more expensive lamp housings are used on the cheaper cars and the cheaper looking and feeling housings are used on the higher end cars. It doesn't make too much sense.
