Where are all my Baton Rouge Focus Fanatics? Are there even any here?
Haha, feel like I have barely seen any other Focus cars rolling around since I moved here!
Like I just said, I just moved here, to good 'ole Baton Rouge! The previous couple years have been interesting for me nonetheless! I was in Florida for 2 years, then moved back to Michigan for six months, and now I've ended up in Baton Rouge! No, I didn't just wake up one morning and think "Let me move to LA", my job offer finally came through (an actual career job so my college degree is finally going to be exercised haha) and off I was to the South.
Anyways, it was a fun trip down. I stopped over for a night/day in Fayetteville, Arkansas to see a good friend of mine. Got a chance to see parts of the country I haven't seen before, and also go around the campus of the Arkansas Razorbacks. Then made my way down to Baton Rouge.
Total trip was some 1400 miles, Detroit, MI>Fayetteville, AR>Baton Rouge, LA. I enjoyed every single bit of it....except gas milage
. But then again, keep in mind, I was moving, so I had a lot of baggage. My car was weighed down from my cargo, and also for those of you who don't know, I have a roof rack up top of my car; Which had my bike, and a cargo box carrier. I definitely caught some good wind action, especially over the flat stages of my drive ahhh! It wasn't epically horrible, my total for mileage was between 26-27 (again weight and roof rack). But I was only upset about one thing: See below.
The only thing I was horribly upset about was those damn rocks that get kicked up on the freeway. I heard a few dings and pings, every now and then. And then it happened:
It's pretty noticeable, but dang son, not cool at all!
I'll probably just throw some touch up paint on it and fill it in (whenever I get that).
Anywho, just introducing myself to the South and the Baton Rouge area!
Where are all my other Focus bro's and sis's?!?!
