Until recently, the DCTs GetRag made were of the "wet clutch" variety. The dry clutch used in our Focus is pretty new. Wet clutches can handle more torque but are more expensive to produce and maintain and are slightly less efficient. It seems they generate a lot fewer clutch chatter/gear grinding complaints,
If Ford had to do it all over again, I wonder which one they would choose?
