Hi I am posting this 1.9 liter SEFI Ford Escort CVH engine on your forum because I haven't had any luck selling it on any of the Escort forums or even Ebay. I am sure you are wondering why am I trying to sell an Escort engine on a Focus forum? Well the reason is because for quite some time now we have been swapping our 1.9 engines out for the 2.0 SPI engine that was also in the first gen Focus (up until 04 I think). So that means that my 1.9 SEFI engine will fit a Focus as long as it has the 2.0 spi engine.
About my engine.
It is a Ford Escort LX second gen 1.9 liter engine that has been fully custom built using full floating Wiseco pistons. The pistons have ceramic coated tops, teflon coated skirts with larger wristpins and the compression has been dropped down to 8:5:1 so you can run more boost (pistons can take roughly 800 HP). Custom machined Sanez rods H beam (rated to 400 HP), cylinder head fully rebuilt ported and polished, custom installed brand new Ford Escort GT first gen (larger) exhaust valves, and brand new custom installed intake and exhaust valve springs (stronger to prevent floating valves), ARP head studs, ARP main studs, rebuilt and balanced T-3 turbo, Ford Escort RS turbo manifold, stainless steel oil lines, Fel Pro gaskets used, the crankshaft, pistons, and rods were all balanced together to at least 8,000 RPM if not higher. The engine was also bored out .020 and chrome moly piston rings were used. I kept all reciets so you know what exactly what went into this engine. No expense was spared and no corners were cut to make this engine a performer. The weakest part in the engine is either the crankshaft or the block itself. This engine has serious power potential. I have put roughly $5,000 into the engine itself.
Why am I selling the engine? I had the car in the garage for winter and when I brought it to my mechanic in the spring a tow truck backed into it in my mechanic's parking lot. My car was then towed and had body work done to it without my consent (which is illegal to do in the state of WA) well the body work was crappy and the paint wasn't even blended in on a part of my bumper so I decided to pull the engine and tranny and strip the car to get it ready to do a nice show car paint job. Unfortunately college and life is kinda forcing me to give up my Escort.
Update why I an now stripping and selling my Escort: My mechanic left my car outside in the rain with all the windows out of the car. I was stripping out the car to get it ready to be painted so now the interior of my car is soaked and the electronics, and the interior of the car and the electronics are destroyed. There was at least an inch and a half of water on the floor of my Escort.
Did I ever dyno the engine? No I never did because I never got a recalibrated MAF so I could run the 42lb fuel injectors or got the custom made fuel rail and Walbro 255 fuel pump installed. I needed to install my air-to-water intercooler and upgrade my fuel system and let the engine break in fully before I was going to dyno it. The engine only has about 2,500 miles on it.
I encourage you to ask as many questions as you want and to go on the www.feoa.net
site and check it out. Even go as far as to ask the moderators on feoa questions to check that my engine is not a scam.
