I have been to the dealer 3 times, once for a total transmission failure and also for two refleashes, one recall. The dealer has been great but eventually Fords home office engineering dept told the dealer that the shuddering is seen in all 2012 automatics focus' and there is no fix at this time.
I feel this is an unacceptable problem and answer because it is to the point where my passengers ask what is wrong.
I have found a ford rep trying to help on Fords focus facebook page and people are starting to show up there and post their own experiences.
