Wouldn't be much of an anti-theft system if it was easy to bypass. What kind of problem are you having?
Normal operation for PATS is:
Ignition key out/off, center LED lamp blinks every 5 seconds or so.
Key in, ignition on, lamp goes solid for three seconds, then out and stays off.
If the lamp blinks rapidly during an attempted start, PATS is active.
If the lamp does stay off after insertion of the key, the key has been recognised and PATS is out of the picture with regards to any starting/running problems.
