Car and Driver's 1st Drive review of the Accord says most of the traditional CVT complaints don't apply, you generally don't notice the CVT and it's finally one you can live with.
I'm not a CVT proponent, just sayin' don't complete count them out just yet.
We just traded my wife's Nissan Rouge and I can tell you I hated driving it! Constant drone all the time! I will say the transmission was smooth and always seemed to be in the right "gear" or should I say ratio for the situation. So for that I was very pleased, but that constant noise was too much.
