IMHO this one may not even be safe because it gets in the way too often.

See if they'll exchange it? I debated the drivers vs passenger side and finally went with the passenger side. My GPS can either be portrait or landscape, so it may have worked on the drivers side, but it is almost perfect on the passenger side in either orientation.
