That specific model should prove to be rare in Indiana and will not get great gas mileage compared to the 2.0l. It is a great platform to modify though!
I suggest an '05-07 zx3 (sort of a 1.5gen,) they all come with a 2.0l duratec. The 2.0 is reliable and should be able to get you some good gas mpgs. The earlier models (00-04) generally came with a 2.0 zetec, not as efficient and slightly less powerful. Avoid the SPI models (they will say
SPLIT PORT in large letters on the engine) The zetecs are still good cars though, plenty of happy drivers on this site...
